AI limits — when Sim refuses

Sim refuses certain requests on purpose. Knowing where the rails are helps you work with it instead of against it.

Hard refusals

• Medical advice — "should I take X" type questions
• Diagnosis — Sim cannot tell you what condition you have
• Compound dosing for unsafe stacks (MAOI + serotonergics, etc.)
• Anything during pregnancy that the model flags

Soft limits

• Sim won't delete a scenario without confirmation
• Sim won't toggle multiple conditions at once unless you ask
• Sim defers to the model's confidence levels — won't overclaim

Backend

• Lab uses GPT-4o or Gemini 2.0 depending on configuration
• Switch in Profile → Subscription if Premium
